Fairbrother Cup 2007

Congratulations to all who made the team, it was a fantastic day out. Wairarapa put on a beautiful sunny hot day and an exciting swim meet. A highlight for many of the kiwi swimmers was the trip down to Masterton and spending time getting to know swimmers from the other Manawatu clubs. 19 Kiwi West swimmers were selected for the 2007 Fairbrother Cup (51%) of the team. This was one of the closest years that Manawatu have had to wrestle away the cup from Wellington and came within 5 points. If only the relays were worth more points we would have walked away with more than just 3 out 4 relay wins – But there’s always next year!
