Wgtn Short Course
A weekend of excellent competitive swimming with many records falling, including a 30 year old record. Samantha Lee (15, Capital) claimed Rebecca Perrott’s mark of 2min 05.6secs in the Womens 200m Freestyle, with a new time of 2 mins 2mins 4.54secs.
Meet Highlights
- Jenna Buchanan broke 3 Manawatu records for (50 Back, 100Fly and 50 Fly). Won 2 Gold Medals and 3 silvers. her time of 1:04.20 for the 100 fly was very impressive.
- Aimee Morris broke her own Manawatu record for the Female 17 yr - 50 Back and a Gold medal for the same event
- Sam Richardson gained 2 more qualifying times for the NZ Springs in the 400 free & 400 IM
- Troy Greenem won 2 Silver medals & 2 Bronze
- Hamish McGirr won a Bronze for the 50 Back.
